Water monitoring and proper operation of this system are of the greatest importance for the availability of clean water on the Earth. Water monitoring is a complex process. It requires diligent work and high qualification of specialists. Informing public on the quality of water they consume is similarly important.
Considering this, America’s Clean Water Foundation (ACWF) established the World Waster Monitoring Day on 18th September 2003. Since then, the world and among them Georgia has been marking this day each year to inform population about the pollution of water resources, raise public awareness, and increase public engagement in the preservation of global water resources.
